Angela graduated from Tommy Thompson’s Alexander Technique training course in Cambridge, MA in December 2011 and gives private lessons and workshops at the Center for Arts at the Armory. Angela’s first exposure to the Alexander Technique was in 2005 in Boulder, CO in the University of Colorado’s music program where she was working on her doctorate in violin performance. Since then she has been deeply committed and interested in applying the Technique to playing and teaching. Beyond her application of the technique to music and performance, Angela loves that the technique applies to all pursuits in life, including how we sit, stand, move, listen, breathe, walk and talk, sit in front of the computer, cut vegetables, make decisions and deal with back pain, to name a few.
